# Buying Guide & Methodology

The transparent scoring methodology used at Creatine Corner to evaluate products.

At Creatine Corner, our goal is to help you make an informed decision when purchasing a creatine supplement. To ensure our recommendations are trustworthy, consistent, and objective, we evaluate products using a strict, published methodology. This page outlines exactly how we assemble our rankings, what criteria we measure, and how you can verify the information yourself.

## What We Check

Our scoring methodology focuses on publicly verifiable facts rather than subjective impressions. We evaluate each creatine product against three primary criteria:

  * **Third-Party Certifications:** We check whether a product is certified by highly credible, independent bodies like NSF Certified for Sport or Informed Choice/Informed Sport. We also check for raw ingredient verification, such as the use of authentic Creapure®.
  * **Sourcing Disclosure:** We review the brand's transparency regarding where and how their product is manufactured \(e.g., cGMP-certified facilities\).
  * **Price-Per-Gram Calculation:** To provide an apples-to-apples comparison across different tub sizes and serving recommendations, we calculate the exact price-per-gram of pure creatine for every product.

## What We Don't Claim

We believe in being completely candid about our capabilities. Creatine Corner **does not** have an in-house laboratory, nor do we conduct chemical analysis or physical testing of the supplements we list. We do not have a dedicated clinical review team.

Instead of claiming in-house lab testing, our editorial process involves aggregating and verifying product information, certifications, pricing, and sources against publicly available databases and primary scientific research. Our framing is "check our work," not "trust our credentials."

## How Rankings Are Assembled

Our listicles are dynamically generated from a structured internal database of creatine brands. When assembling a ranking \(e.g., "Best Creatine for Women" or "Best Budget Creatine"\), we apply specific filters for the target audience or category:

  * For **budget** lists, the primary sorting metric is the price-per-gram.
  * For **demographic** lists, we prioritize third-party certification status, suitable ingredient profiles \(e.g., no unnecessary additives\), and clear sourcing disclosures.
  * For **format-specific** lists \(like gummies or micronized powder\), we evaluate the cost-to-convenience ratio alongside our standard safety and certification checks.

Every factual claim and product highlight on our site is grounded in citations to primary research \(such as the ISSN position stand\) and reputable secondary sources.

## How Often We Update

Product formulations, certifications, and prices can change. We monitor the market and update our internal database to reflect current availability and pricing. Each listicle page prominently displays a "Last reviewed" date at the top, and individual product cards indicate the exact date the pricing and certification status were "Last verified."

## How to Verify Our Work Yourself

We encourage skepticism and want you to verify our recommendations. You can check a brand's certification status directly using the following public registries:

  * [NSF Certified for Sport Directory](https://info.nsf.org/Certified/Dietary/)
  * [Informed Sport Certified Product Search](https://sport.wetestyoutrust.com/supplement-search)
  * [Creapure® Nutrition Partners](https://www.creapure.com/en/buy-now/nutrition-partners)

If you notice a discrepancy or a recent change in a product's formulation or certification status, please contact us at [editorial@creatinecorner.com](mailto:editorial@creatinecorner.com).
